Preventing Tennis Elbow

Tennis elbow is one of the most debilitating sports injuries around. Typically is starts with just a soreness that everyone seems to “play through” Well tendons are very difficult to heal because of their poor blood supply so we need to respect this pain and not ignore it. That is how these types of injuries become chronic.

Here is a stretch that focuses on the fibers of the tendon that most commonly breakdown and become inflamed. Notice that the index and middle fingers are being used to generate the stretch to accomplish this. Warning, never stretch a sore tendon and seek professional advice if you experience pain when attempting this or any stretch.
